RCT Magic Kingdom
RCT Magic Kingdom is a save game file for Hasbro's "RollerCoaster Tycoon" computer game. This save game file was designed to simulate the Magic Kingdom theme park located in Orlando, Florida.
The save game file was created using the "Loopy Landscapes" expansion pack with "RollerCoaster Tycoon". Additionally, Josef Drexler's RCTPatch was used to allow me unlimited access to the game's design tools. The TRG Trainer and DragonIOA Trainer were also used to improve parts of the park.
The save game file can be downloaded from either of the links below. After downloading, extract the save game file into your "RollerCoaster Tycoon" 'Saved Games' folder.
To use the save game file, you need to have the "Rollercoaster Tycoon" game and the "Loopy Landscapes" expansion pack (see the official site for information). Also, Josef Drexler's RCTPatch is needed to allow my customized save file to load into the game (see RCTPatch to read about Drexler's patch). Yea, it's a lot of work to get this park to load but Josef Drexler's web page has instructions on how to load customized save game files like this.
If you still have trouble, don't worry about it! Just enjoy the screen shots below and use them as inspiration to build your own park. You'll get a lot more enjoyment out of building your own then using mine.
Thanks for visiting this page and I hope you enjoy the park. Please email comments to slam_mjg@hotmail.com
UPDATE 07/05/2002 - I've added a new page with Disney inspired parks for Rollercoaster Tycoon. These parks were created by other fans who have decided to share them with me and you. One of the parks was updated by Cody to include all the details he saw during his recent visit. Click here to read more about the updated park.
UPDATE 02/16/2002 - Keith owns a website called Disneyinc where he has several Disney related parks for RollerCoaster Tycoon. He emailed me recently to show me an update he made to my RCT Magic Kingdom park. It contains a couple new attractions (like "Aladdin's Magic Carpet") and some really nice new scenery! Anyone interested in Disney World and RollerCoaster Tycoon should go visit Disneyinc. There's a lot of wonderful stuff there.
UPDATE 06/16/2001 - I am proud to announce that RCT Magic Kingdom has received the "Mega Masterpiece Award" from The official 2001 RCT Awards home page! There were so many beautiful, detailed, and exciting parks nominated, that I'm honored to be included among the other nominees in five award catagories. There are some incredible designs at the awards site and I hope you'll take the time to download a few and thank their creators.
UPDATE 03/11/2001 - The park has been updated with a few minor scenery changes. Guests can now arrive at the Magic Kingdom from the ferry boat dock. The Tommorowland Indy Speedway now has a covered queue. And, more details have been added to the former 20,000 Leagues lagoon. A few other minor changes have also been added. The updated park can be downloaded from the link below.
Thanks to everyone who has sent comments about this park. Some people have mentioned that they've modified the park to add their own rides or lands. I think this is pretty cool and would love to see some of the work that people have put into expanding the park. If you have an updated Magic Kingdom, please tell me about it.
The park represents a modern-day version of the Magic Kingdom, designed from my memories, various references, and guidemaps from May 2000. RCT Magic Kingdom employees a staff of 105 cast members (59 handymen, 19 mechanics, 13 security guards and 14 entertainers) The park contains 115 rides and attractions.
